An Unclaimed Cat

Nobody seems to be missing him.  I hate to take him to PAWS but if he isn’t claimed by Friday that’s where he’ll be.  He’s not neutered, has double paws and has been declawed.

  1. Oooh, pretty. If I can convince Adam to let me, can I have him? We’re coming up to your neck of the woods on the weekend of the 25th.

  2. I can’t keep him that long. He’s living in a crate in the rabbitry and not at all happy or sanitary about the arrangements.

When I took a poster to the store I learned that two other kittens were dumped nearby and showed up at houses Monday.

  3. Ack, declawed, but not neutered? That’s asking for trouble, poor boy.

  4. His feet have healed so I’d say he was declawed very young, probably before he was old enough to be neutered. Someone should be slapped silly for dumping a declawed cat. He shouldn’t even be outside unsupervised without claws for defense. When Seb nosed Cat too hard he smacked him on the nose. Without claws to make an impact, Seb couldn’t have cared less.

  5. AWWWW, I love polydactyl cats. If I didn’t have 3 already and lived closer I’d take him. What a cutie!

  6. What you said about folks declawing and then letting them run—so right! Slapped silly should be the least of it.
Good luck placing him. There are folks out there (like Chiot’s Run) that really like the six toed cats.

  7. Yup, I love polydactyl cats and I’ve always wanted a grey cat anyway. I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure a way I can get him off your hands now and come pick him up in two weeks.
