  1. Busy woman!
I have to ask, though—what is ‘chic tea’ and ‘flame carrots’? Also, staking a hundred tomato plants!! Huge job. I guess having the hubby have a job right now is more pressing than having him help with tomatoes.

  2. Chic tea is chicken manure tea. The onions need a nitrogen boost. I weeded the new carrot bed with a propane torch. It burns the weed plants before the carrots germinate well. I do it when there are a few carrots up. It wipes out a lot of weeds but the carrots are in a weedy spot so I’ll be hand weeding a lot later on.

  3. Robin- You continue to amaze! Hang these lists up somewhere and on one of the days you think you are spinning your wheels just look at ALL you have already accomplished. Your lists make me want to take a nap, and people tell me I get alot done. NOT compared to you sweetie! Have a GREAT weekend! We’re off to a service weekend working at Special Olympics and one of our troop kids is competing tomorrow so it will be extra special. Have a cup of something and BREATHE!!!! Hugs, Bramble

  4. Robin- Oooooooooh! then energy! What a dynamo! You should figure out a way to wire yourself so that while you’re running around you could also light a few rooms in the house. Maybe Steve can get on that before the mill opens back up. Congrats on that, too. What a relief (i’m supposing). This time of year for a gardener is maddening and glorious all at once, trying to keep up with what’s coming up, the good and the bad can be just tooooo much. Almost makes snow sound like a refreshing relief and good idea. NOT! Robin

Robin to Robin, now wasn’t that confusing????

  5. Yes, come to think of it, I don’t know why I never thought of this before – a poultice of snow for the black fly bites. Nearly organic solution right there, ya! Sounds soothing, doesn’t it? RRR
