To Do List

Updated @ 1:55 pm: oops – just remembered I have carrots leftover from last night’s roasted chicken so I am making a pot pie. mmm! comfor food!  Everything else is done so it’s time to hit the couch with the seed catalog and inhaler.

This is a wimpy to-do list for a woman who’s still feeling wimpy.  Everyone else is back into their normal routine as of this morning and it’s time I did a little more too.  It’s good to be sitting at the table watching the birds out the window again.

  • Chores: water chickens, ducks and turkeys.  They already had food. Taylor will bring more food to them when she gets home. The dogs were more than enthusiastic about me being outside with them.
  • Shower and dress.
  • Start dishwasher.  I’m going to let the dishwasher wash everything today, including the big things. One extra run won’t hurt anything.
  • Clean kitchen
  • Undecorate tree.  I’ve been too wimpy to do this. Steve will take it out when he gets home.
  • Finish and submit the Local Foods column. I think it needs only 200 words.  It’s about using your winter storage vegetables (squash, turnip, rutabaga, cabbage, pumpkin, etc.).
  • Have Taylor vacuum.
  • Water house plants.
  • Seed order.  The Fedco order goes in this week.
  • Make a chicken pot pie for supper

  1. THat looks like a pretty big list for a sick woman! Especially undecorating the tree and making a chicken PP.
I’m waiting until tomorrow when my kids go back to school to do our tree. Otherwise, there is much moaning and “why are you donating this to goodwill?”. Every year I go through the many boxes and end up donating things I haven’t put out in a year or two.

  2. I agree, big list for a still-sick person! Something easy for supper, and let the rest go, yeah, that sounds more like it! Hope you get to feeling all better soon!

  3. SLOW DOWN!
    Too much too soon…

  4. Seed Order?!! I put my catalog on the shelf and have been so wrapped up with Bill’s stuff I put it off. That’s got to be organized and sent out the door! There’s still time! Trying anything new this year?

  5. Hey Robin, I am glad you are feeling better, but take it easy, you don’t need a relapse!

Thanks for the offer of writing some code. As I don’t host my blog, I don;t think WP will allow it, they don’t allow java or flash embeds, etc. So I guess I’m going to have to do it manually!

    Take it easy!
