A Day Off

The numbers of readers has dropped to under 200 this week so it must be time to stop talking about what’s growing and add something more interesting. I took yesterday off to go to Bar Harbor with a friend.  These were taken on Sand Beach in Acadia National Park.  The sand was warm enough to walk barefoot!  If you right click on the photos and go to the image you’ll be able to see them full sized.

  1. Beautiful Robin!

  2. That water looks so inviting, but I know it’s freaky cold. I’m glad you took a day off.

  3. The number of people visiting your blog probably dropped because everyone else is outside too!! I love the posts on whats growing and the gorgeous pictures. Lisa

  4. I’ve been busy enjoying any moment outside when the wind isn’t blowing. hehe

I like this post and pictures, though.
How far do you live from Bar Harbor?
I bet you like to go during the summer, but is water ever warm enough to comfortably swim?

  5. It takes two hours to get to Bar Harbor right now. From Memorial Day through Labor Day it’s another 20 minutes because of tourist traffic. The ocean is never warm here. I don’t go in except maybe to get my feet wet. Taylor and her friends went body surfing at high tide two years ago in mid June. I hauled them out after an hour. The kids were 12 and 13 and “it’s not cold!”
