Picking Rocks

I wish all of my crops grew as well as the rocks seem to! We spent a few hours on the greenhouse Tuesday. Taylor finished connecting the ribs and did some raking. I raked and picked up rocks. We filled the 8 cu ft wheelbarrow to the top. I ran the tiller down the center to loosen the grass that grew in the 2′ space between the two hoop houses. Then I raked that to pull the grass and pick more rocks. It was time for evening chores and supper by then.

The lumber will be ordered today and delivered tomorrow.

I’m off the farm today but will go back to work tomorrow. Tomorrow’s list:

  1. Rototill down the center, rake, pick rocks
  2. Rototill a small section in the back right corner, rake, pic rocks
  3. Start spreading composted goat manure/bedding
  4. Rototill the compost

All of that needs to be finished by the end of the day tomorrow. Steve will be home from South Carolina some time during the Thursday/Friday overnight. More pictures – when there’s something more interesting than rocks to show you!
